He is an American citizen, recognized for his significant contributions to pediatric genetics and pediatric hematology through the National Interest Waiver Pathway.
Dr. Sherif's extensive expertise includes a Medical Genetics Fellowship at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Glasgow University, UK, and an Echocardiography Fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), USA. He has served as a Pediatric Genetics Consultant at Life Stem & Cellular Therapy, USA, and held the position of Secretary of Medical & Genetic Diagnostics, USA. His recent accomplishments include completing a Clinical Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Sentara Hospital, Virginia, USA, and he is currently advancing his knowledge through a Pediatric Genetics Fellowship at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC.
In the UAE, Dr. Sherif has held prominent roles, including Program Director of the Pediatric Department and Head of the Code Blue Team at a renowned hospital in Fujairah. He also led the hospital's COVID-19 response team. Additionally, he served as an Associate Professor at Ras Al Khaimah Medical and Health Services University. Dr. Sherif is also an esteemed member of the research auditing team at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
